A projected 1.33 billion chicken wings were expected to be consumed during the Super Bowl Sunday. That’s like an average of 4 chicken wings per American. Eating two wings per minute, it would take an NFL player 1,265 years, 80 days, 7 hours and 12 minutes to eat. Calories, anyone?
Super Bowl is THE event for brands looking to advertise their products. With the viewership base being so large, Chrysler took this opportunity and launched their new model ‘Chrysler 200’ during the Super Bowl XLV. The two minute advertising spot cost the company a whopping $12.4 million. Not only that, but they roped in Eminem who stars in the commercials. Results? The company sales rocketed up to 54%. Win-Win.
