Interesting Cocktails That One Must Try!

By definition, cocktails are “composed of spirits of any kind, sugar, water and bitters” and are typically served neat or short and on the rocks. Here is a roster that has been tailor-made to give you an introduction to the “unique” cocktails that should be on your “must try” list of beverages.

1. Dry Martini:

Dry Martini is probably the first cocktail that comes to everyone’s mind when we talk about unique cocktails. There are quite a few alcoholic beverages which are typically referred to as “martinis” as well, and come in every colour and flavour imaginable; the true “Martini” is the one which consists of gin and dry vermouth with either an olive or lemon twist garnish. There are many variations on this simple drink varying from a Dirty Martini to a Vodka Martini.

4. Manhattan:

The whiskey is the same for Manhattan as the gin is for the Martini. The whiskeys which are usually used in the Manhattan include rye, Canadian whisky, bourbon and blended whiskey. Garnished with a Maraschino cherry, the cocktail is often stirred and strained into a cocktail glass.

5. Blood & Sand:

One of the classic mixed drinks that include scotch is the Blood and Sand. Many will be of the opinion that Scotch should be offered neat with little or no water, let alone ice. The Blood & Sand would state otherwise. It is traditionally made with equal parts of blended scotch whiskey, cherry brandy, sweet vermouth and orange juice, shaken and served straight up.
